At Backyard Brass & Winds, we pride ourselves on quality craftsmanship and honest service. This Refund Policy outlines the circumstances under which refunds may or may not be issued.
1. Repair Services
Because repair work involves labor, time, and materials specific to each instrument, all repair services are generally non-refundable once work has begun.
Refunds will not be issued for:

Completed repairs that were approved by the customer

Work performed according to the agreed estimate

Changes of mind after repairs have started or been completed
2. Workmanship Guarantee
If a repair issue arises that is directly related to our workmanship within the warranty period, we will correct the issue at no additional charge rather than issue a refund.
Our guarantee does not cover problems caused by:

Normal wear and tear

Improper handling or storage

Accidental damage
-
Work previously performed by another technician
3. Deposits
Any deposits paid toward repair work are non-refundable once work has started or parts have been ordered specifically for the instrument.
If the customer cancels before work has begun and no special-order parts have been purchased, a refund of the deposit may be issued at our discretion.
4. Parts & Materials
Special-order parts, custom-fitted components, and non-returnable materials are not eligible for refunds once ordered or installed.
5. Sale Items & Instrument Sales
If Backyard Brass & Winds sells refurbished or pre-owned instruments or accessories, those items are sold as-is unless otherwise stated in writing.
Refunds or exchanges on sold items will only be considered if:

A defect is discovered that was not disclosed at the time of sale

6. Shipping Costs
Shipping and handling charges are non-refundable once a shipment has been sent, even if a repair or order is later canceled.
